Course Description
Psoriasis is a chronic, autoimmune skin disease that affects 1 million Canadians and even more worldwide and can often be resistant to conventional and naturopathic treatments. Join Dr. Tanvi Tijoriwala, ND to learn the different approaches to treating psoriasis in clinic practice. Dr. Tanvi will be going over, diagnostic options, nutritional therapy, topical options and supplement options for managing flare ups. Original Air Date: April 20, 2022.
In this course, you will learn:
- Distinguishing psoriasis from eczema and distinguishing plaques in people of colour
- Diagnostic and blood work parameters to consider
- Topical treatment options and protocols for acute flare-ups
- Systemic treating protocols for both acute flare-ups and for preventing flare-ups.
This course is approved for 2 General Category A Credits (1.75 General and 0.25 Pharmacology) with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO). Upon completion of the course materials, you will receive you CE Certificate.
