Course Description:

This session will include a detailed review of miscarriage and early pregnancy loss. Many Ontarians turn to NDs for support for fertility and pregnancy. With 1 in 4 pregnancies ending in loss, it is absolutely essential that Naturopathic Doctors are well versed in understanding the risk factors for early pregnancy loss, but also the management of early pregnancy loss, and the unique support that Naturopathic Doctors can provide to patients going through these losses.

Learning Objectives:

1. In depth understanding of what causes and risk factors for early pregnancy loss
2. In depth understanding of the management of early pregnancy loss
3. A practical review of how NDs can support patients going through an early pregnancy loss-physically, mentally and emotionally
4. Discussions around prevention of early pregnancy loss, and understanding of how to support patients with their future family planning goals
5. Identifying how systemic racism impacts patients experiencing early pregnancy loss

This session is approved for 1 General, 0.5 Pharmacology Category A CE Credits with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO).  After completing the material, you will automatically receive your CE certificate.
