OANDCon22: Interprofessional Care in Gynecology OnDemand


Course Description:

In this seminar, Dr. Jordan Robertson ND, will educate participants on the current research on non-invasive diagnosis of endometriosis, current chronic pain models in the disease and the evidence for an integrative approach including nutrition and dietary supplements. Dr. Robertson is the Naturopathic Doctor for the Endometriosis Clinic at McMaster Hospital and through lecturing and case presentations will provide participants with the confidence to support this patient population in their practice.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the research developments in the non-invasive diagnosis of endometriosis including blood biomarkers and the use of diagnostic ultrasound.
  2. Understand the recent developments in the understanding of pain in endometriosis and the tools available for Naturopathic Doctors to support these patients.
  3. Understand the dietary and supplemental agents that have evidence for supporting endometriosis.
  4. Discussion on best practices for integrative care options and how to work collaboratively with gynecology and family medicine

This session is approved for 1.5 General Category A CE Credits CE Credits with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO).  After completing the material, you will automatically receive your CE certificate.
