Course Description:

Through our advancement in treatments, cancer patients are living longer. As of 2019 there were an estimated 17 million people living with a history of cancer in North America. Many survivors experience lingering conditions including depression, neuropathy, brain fog and fatigue. These secondary conditions prevent them from returning fully to their daily lives. Where to begin and how to access treatment can be a stumbling block for everyone involved. Rebuilding lives by restoring physiology through an in-depth analysis of nutrients to recover mitochondria in these patients is key to preventing recurrence and returning to thriving not just
surviving.

Learning Objectives:

1) Assessing the patients current state of health in recovery using labs, patient history and
current state of knowledge.
2) Using labs and patient history to assess contraindications and relative contraindications
in the cancer recovery patient.
3) Developing a comprehensive patient centered evidence-based treatment strategy so as
minimize overwhelm and maximize recovery.
4) Using all our Naturopathic tools to support the Mind, Body and Spirit in our patients to
help keep the patient engaged through all stages of recovery
